Right after Sea Otter in the US it was time to visit our new partner in Canada situated in a famous town in Alberta – Calgary host oft he Winter Olympic Games in 1988.

The story around Walmart and the Walton family behind is a special one. So was the gravel ride i did with Brian around the Bentonville Bikefest and the combined NBDA Retailer Summit.

Last day at Sea Otter 2024. As up we also rode down day by day let the day ending as it started – with a nice ride, but down to Monterey much more relaxed becaus downhill.

It is always nice to be in Monterey as long the weather is nice – so in 2024. During the show it is common for us to ride up and down with the bicycle, depeniding on which you have.

Booth set up was done and still some time left before the show. Time to explore the region a bit more than just up and down to Laguna Seca, where Sea Otter is held.

2023 was the first time i did visit Sea Otter in Monterey. Quite foggy in the morning the outcome of nice rides was limited. I had some open points here and so in 2024 i gave it another try.

After returning from AIM Expo in Las Vegas, I stayed a few more days at our office in San Clemente. The weekend arrived, and it was time for some longer rides in the Temecula area.

It was my first Sea Otter in 2023 being with Brian, Dominik and Helge at this most important bilcycle event in the United States. Going up and down by bicycle opened a lot of nice rides.

Not the most difficult, but a classic one with a lot of famous names and a very important and many times used for west coast bike riders - the ride on PCH - Pacific Coast Highways.

As we returned from Boise have a nice gravel ride there, i was on the my way back home haveing one more day in the area of Los Angeles. We arrived pretty early from Idaho and it was sunday.

Having done the day before Mt. Baldy questioned to me if i do another longer ride to keep the pace or doing a recovery ride. It was a bit both but still landing over 100k.

After Palomar on the first weekend and going south it was on the second weekend time to do a classic and famous ride which is also included into Tour of California. It was time to do Glendora Mt Road and Mt Baldy.

Having some warm up rides the first week my first week was here and it was time for a long distance with some altitude. My first target was Palomar Mountain about 50 miles inland.

Returning for another visit in our office and staying for 3 1/2 week in the US it was clear that this time Betty joins me on my trip as an effective training was needed to get ready for our transalp tour in June.

After saturday´s 130k ride towards the inland i decided to drive by car to Carlsbad and start a straight down to San Diego. One reason because i´m not alowed to ride a bike in a military zone.

As i had taken over the B2B Business in our US office i needed to travel to San Clemente considering to get a few training rides already in February.

One more day to go and holidays unfortunately will end - the last chance to do a ride. Like everywhere sunday is riding day. And so i saw a bunch of riders on PCH that day.

After a lot of travelling during our family stay on the west coast in USA, we reached our AirnB home in Dana Point. My first experience ride there was taking me to Laguna Beach.

After Pikes Peak i met with Tom from Specialized to do a Sunday Roll Out just leaving the legs a bit turning and so relax from the day before. To mention that Tom did see it not that way.

A mountain, a legend, a mythe. Nothing more to say about this guy. First hike 1820 and a tarmac from bottom to top since 2011 – often used for car races and on the very top of my bucket list.

It was ment to be a warm up for the next day to get used to the elevation in the area of Denver CO. It was a tipp from several locals to go there before the big one – and yes it was a warm up.

Heading out to Boise in Idaho for a distributors inhouse exhibition gave us as a sales team the chance to do a bit of team building in taking some time for a CX loop.

The show is over - lets start the show. A nice saying and used many times. This time the house show of our moto distributor ended successfully and the SP team including Brian, Rick and me headed towards Chicago.

After the long ride the day before i was not sure if i should even ride. My sun burn was aching and i knew it would not be a long ride.

My second route i decided to do along the big Mississippi River starting in west direction. I was a sunny day and temp was nice for april.

My wife Andrea and me were travelling to USA to attend the World Balloon Convention as she has a balloon shop and is offering decorations for different occasions.

Back in Vegas for AIM Expo, there was once again a time slot for a ride. After last year's winter ride, which included touching snow in Red Rock Valley, this one was fortunately a short-short ride.

During another trip to Las Vegas with Betty, we planned a scenic ride to Red Rock Canyon, known for its stunning red rock formations just outside the city. The occasion was the AIM Expo.

New year - new luck; that could have been the story around this ride together with our sales manager Brian in the surroundings of Las Vegas.

A successful business trip was almost over and i had time to do a final ride before crossing the Atlantic the next day. More time ment a longer ride going north to Port Washington at Lake Michigan.

Arriving from Denver and high altitude, a few smaller riders in Milwaukee were a nice roll-out. Before our set up day at the NVP show i said good morning to the city and Lake Michigan.

In front of an Exhibition held by one of our motorcycle distributors we had to see to keep our training in progress. So we took an early bird before the first show day.

It was August and our Motorcycle Distributor invited us for NVP - a house exhibition held in the convention center in Madison in Wisconsin. Brian, our US nat sales manager, and i approached from the twin cities in Minnesota after a meeting with our bicycle distributor.
