Laguna SecaLoop

Last day at Sea Otter 2024. As up we also rode down day by day let the day ending as it started – with a nice ride, but down to Monterey much more relaxed becaus downhill.

But before rolling down, I had to do a lap on the race track at Laguna Seca. Famous for its Corkscrew, this challenging section involves a left turn at the top of the track, followed by a steep drop that feels like freefall with no clear view ahead, before a sharp right turn takes you back toward the bottom of the track. It's known for causing accidents, as cars often go off-piste, but I had no issues navigating it at 20 km/h while filming the iconic section.
At Sea Otter, there are numerous bike races, including a road bike event on the Laguna Seca track. I didn’t race but just wanted to experience the famous course. Afterward, I added a ride back to Monterey via S. Boundary Rd and a trail into the city. Sea Otter 2024 was a success, both for business and for my rides.
