lakeLoop in Madison
In front of an Exhibition held by one of our motorcycle distributors we had to see to keep our training in progress. So we took an early bird before the first show day.
We decided, after riding towards east 2 days earlier, to conquer the west as well riding around lake Mendota connected to Madison. Early bird ment 7am as at this time at least the sun was rising already. Nevertheless it was cloudy and a good chance of rain shower. Anyways riding first in town to get a few nice pics at the Wisconsin State Capitol we rolled out on the north side to meet a nice road through a neighbourhood with typical style american houses - as we in europe would say. It seemed we even found the part of the richer ones as nice big land was surrounding those villas.
We avoided traffic for a pretty long time to unfortunately hit a main road on the south side of the lake which we needed to ride coming back to Madison. Anyways combined with a few bike paths - which sometimes were just ending in the fields - we also met the forecasted rain showers finding our way into town. Being ready for breakfast we hit one of the many coffee shops to get energy back and to be ready for the exhibition.
It was worth to get up early as usual as such rides give a lot of energy for the upcoming day and work at the booth. And to do this in circumnavigating a lake makes it even better.
