Red Rocks CO
After Pikes Peak i met with Tom from Specialized to do a Sunday Roll Out just leaving the legs a bit turning and so relax from the day before. To mention that Tom did see it not that way.
We met near the hotel with the goal of doing a scenic loop that passed by the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. From the start, the landscape was striking, with the red rocks scattered around like they had just fallen from the sky. We passed beautiful villas nestled between the rocks, almost like pieces on a chessboard, making it hard to tell what came first—the villas or the rocks.
Soon, we reached the iconic concert venue from the day before, which was already being prepared for the next event. It was an amazing sight, a true natural wonder. From there, we headed north towards Golden, the home of Coors Beer. Our destination was Lookout Mountain, located just outside Golden. The climb was beautiful, though a bit challenging after the previous days' rides, and offered a great view of Golden and its famous brewery.
On the way back, we tackled a few more hills before following the same road back to the start. Overall, it was a great Sunday morning ride with 1,500 meters of climbing—an enjoyable challenge.
