After a year and a half of lockdowns during the pandemic, my first business trip took me to Italy to introduce SP Connect to a potential bicycle distributor.
The FUGA 300 was a monumental cycling event that pushed me beyond the usual long rides I had done before. While a ride over 200 km is common for many cyclists, completing a 300 km ride is different.
On a scheduled visit to a potential SP Connect distributor in Italy, I decided to start the day early and do a ride near the hometown of Marco Pantani, Cesenatico.
During our summer holidays in Tuscany in 2023, we stayed in Radda di Chianti, right in the heart of L'Eroica, the famous gravel ride on historical race bikes.
The goal of this ride was to prepare for an upcoming trip to the USA, where I planned to tackle Pikes Peak. I needed a challenging mountain climb with a long ascent and similar gradients.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, travel restrictions were still in place, but I was able to take a trip to Italy with my wife, despite the challenging circumstances.
