When you are in Beijing and planning a bicycle ride the first thing is you look for the pollution stats, even before weather and wind. Pollution at that specific day was good because it was raining.

Doing my asian tour visiting Honkong was as well on my list to visit our SP Gadgets distributor but also looking for alternatives for SP Connect and looking for a nice ride.

New day, new Tuktuks and new early start with meeting at the shop of my contact Pankaj. This time a training day on the highway. We met with some other guys to ride a main highway out of the city.

Travelling to India was for me no expectation at all hearing many things already. But when you ask me what thought connects first i would say honking in traffic.

The second time in Osaka for the Intertec house show, there was the chance for the weather to do good and repair the conditions i had in 2023 with rain and soso temperatures.

The land of contrasts Japan is called – and so was my ride being in Tokyo this late summer. A ride inbetween Culture and Modern as i was hitting 2 locations which cannot be more appart of their age.

My first ever ride in Osaka, in the city where one of the most important companies in the bicycle busines – Shimano – is located, it started well and it seemed i can do my ride without getting wet.

Dry again from riding the day before through Tokyo City i got picked up by Koji-san on sunday. The bike came onto the roof of his Subaru and we drove about an hour westside to do a nice mountain ride.

Not the first time riding in Japan but first time in the metropole of Tokyo. Before the ride with Koji-san the next day i made a city loop including a nice bridge and a weather connected to the name of the bridge.

After my first ride in Japan ago with Mt. Fuji this time i wanted to do a more relaxed ride closer to Tokio. I was renting at Tim who delivered a bike to Cross Coffee a meeting point for local bicycle freaks.

Doing business in Japan was always a favourite thing in my business career. I like the japanese mentality and needed to build up a distributor network for SP Connect.

My first time in Malaysia i could not manage to get a bike as well having a swollen ankle. This time i found a shop delivering the bike to my hotel. So i wanted to reach Genting Highlands a summit on the tour malaysia.

Being a second time in Singapore in 2018, i was together with Lin WeiJian from Streamcast our distribution company for SP Gadgets. As he is also cyclist we decided to do an early sunday loop around the city.

Singapore a superlative city/country and working themselves on becoming the greenest city in the world. Therfore also a lot of bike lanes are already there and planned.

My first trip to asia after Covid started in Southkorea. Still difficult to enter the country and having a lot of paperwork in front, i also teamed up with a new distributor in the bicycle field.

Quick and dirty could be the theme of this one. During Taichung Bike Week i joined the industry ride to get in touch with some industry people. More of industry pro´s as i would call them.

After a long break due to COVID, I returned to the Taipei Cycle Show in 2024. The weather forecast was unexpectedly cold and rainy, but I was prepared with my gear and had arranged to borrow a bike from Rex.

The typhoon that had hit the country the day before with strong winds was on its way to China, but it was still a bit windy. Despite the weather, I decided to get up early and go for another ride.

It was my first time attending Taichung Bikeweek, the leading bicycle show focused on OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer). Time to explore new areas in Taiwan.

For this ride i was looking to a more outside Taipei and surrounding hills tour. My favourite Giant shop was again the start for it and as always riding nice bike paths.
