Santiago de Chile - 40 hairpins to Farellones

With this 1st ride during my premiere visit in south america i completed riding on all continents within 1 year. Biking with José a local guide who organized also the bike for me this tour is to be remembered as an awesome climbing one.

Reaching out of Santiago we entered on a perfect autumn day (south hemisphere) a valley leading us to Corral Quemado where the "real" climb started. 40 switch backs (hairpins) later and 1.913m higher we came to La Parva just before the ski season. A perfect view and a rest in the sun at 12° Celsius was the reward for a pretty exhausting climb.
