WakeUp Split - Broken LegTour anniversary
In July 2024, I planned another Italy-Croatia vacation, hoping for a smoother experience after last year's trip was abruptly cut short by a crash in Tuscany.
Everything was booked: two days in Firenze, a few days in Perugia, and then a ferry from Ancona to Split, Croatia. I had always wanted to arrive in Croatia by ferry, having often seen the ship from the mainland.
However, Andrea's father’s health worsened, so we decided to skip Italy and head straight to Croatia. After some time, his condition improved, and we spent a few days in Split before taking a local ferry to the island of Brac. We stayed at a lovely hotel in the center, within walking distance of the harbor and its charming restaurants.
On the day we were heading to Brac, I decided to get up early and visit Marjan Forest Park to catch the sunrise. As I was there, I unexpectedly saw "our" ferry from Ancona arriving, which felt strange since we were supposed to be on it.
After some more time exploring Split and enjoying pleasant evenings, including our 18th anniversary, it was time to continue our journey to Milna on Brac.
