Timmelsjoch_Sölden
It was my first year participating in events with SP Connect and also my first year back at SP. The combination of work and sport became more intertwined for me.
Together with Martin from the office, I attended the Ötztal Marathon and Eurobike in Friedrichshafen. Although we were focused on promoting SP Connect with a 3x3 tent and promotional materials at the Ötztal Marathon, I still found opportunities to ride.
I completed two rides: one to the Timmelsjoch and another to the Rettenbachferner glacier. The ride to Timmelsjoch started in Sölden, involving a 1,703-meter climb through Ober- and Hochgurgl. The route became steeper after the toll gate, with gradients of 8–12%. Thanks to perfect weather, I enjoyed spectacular views at the top and took some photos.
On the descent, I achieved a personal speed record of 100 km/h on a straight stretch of road. It was a thrilling but nerve-wracking experience—one I wouldn’t want to repeat.
